FA Community Champions Appointed
We are pleased to announce that Ellie Tanser and Becky Shipp have been appointed FA Women and Girls Community Champions for East Riding
Ellie and Becky are tasked with increasing the amount of females who are coaching grassroots football in the county by working with clubs who have the same ambition.
Support will be offered through the delivery of a ‘Stepping Over the Sidelines’ workshop which aims to encourage females to not only watch the game but to also become part of it with 1-2-1 mentoring also available.
East Riding FA Participation Officer (Inclusion) Rebecca Bolton said “Although female participation is at an all-time high in East Riding with participation numbers continuing to grow we recognise there is more to be done to increase the amount of female coaches who are involved in the game. Our Community Champions will play a vital role in creating a more diverse workforce with them eager to support females who are taking their first step into coaching."
If your club would like the support of the FA Women & Girls Community Champions then please get in touch using the emails below. Alternatively contact East Riding FA Participation Officer (Inclusion) Rebecca Bolton.
