England Football Learning Takeover
Supporting Grassroots Football Coaches in East Riding
Join us on Sunday 4th February as we host our first ever England Football Learning take over event.
Delivered by experienced FA Regional Coach Developers this event is specifically for coaches that are working in the U7 age group or have recently completed the EE Playmaker by England Football course or the Introduction to Coaching Football course.
We know that the U7 age group is when many people take their first steps into coaching a grassroots football team which can sometimes be a daunting proposition.
That is why we have teamed up with up England Football Learning to deliver this confidence building super event so that coaches feel empowered to deliver fun and engaging training sessions.
The workshop is free to attend and will include practical and classroom based delivery with topics including; how to manage and observe difference, the benefits of small sided games and developing skilful players.
Taking place over three hours at the East Riding FA Roy West Centre in Hull participants will also learn about what further support is accessible from the East Riding FA and England Football Learning as well as what future workshops are available to attend.
More details about the topics that are going to be included in the workshop can be found below:
How to Manage and Observe Difference
The focus of this mini workshop is around the STEP principle and how to utilise it during sessions to manage difference and develop practices. Participants will investigate different ways of adapting practices to meet the needs of our players whilst promoting a safe and inclusive environment.
The Benefits of Small Sided Games
This mini workshop aims to equip coaches with the knowledge, skills, resources, and inspiration to deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate grassroot coaching sessions using small-sided games.
Developing Skilful Players
The developing skilful players mini workshop will support coaches to understand components of being skilful and the FA’s approach to developing skilful players. It will provide holistic understanding of skilful players along with some practical ideas for coaches to take away.
