Non League Day and Sunday League Day

It's time for the annual Non League Day and for the first time ever Sunday League Day and we are urging our local grassroots football community to show their support.

Non-League Day was set up by James Doe in 2010 as a social media experiment, after being inspired by a pre-season trip to Devon to watch Queens Park Rangers play at Tavistock. It has now grown to become an annual part of the football calendar, backed by Premier League and Football League clubs, MPs, celebrities, media organisations, charities and most importantly the non-league clubs themselves and the fans who turn up on the day.

Now after the success of Non League Day we have Sunday League Day which is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the incredible players, teams, coaches, referees, and volunteers who make Sunday League football special.

Non League day takes place on Saturday 22nd March with Beverley Town FC V Campion being the only step six or above fixture taking place in our County this weekend.

There is also a full set of fixtures in the Humber Premier League and Right Car East Riding County Football League taking place with the Sculcoates Amateurs V Reckitts AFC Humber Premier League fixture being the pick of the bunch.

Sunday League Day takes place on Sunday 23rd March and as ever they would appreciate your support with the Hull Sunday Football League also having a full round of fixtures.

East Riding FA CEO Adam Lowthorpe said, "This weekend is a great opportunity for people to take in a game that they not normally get chance to do so. Beverley Town are putting on a family fun day and opening a brand new stand which is the result of lot of hard work and the Hull Sunday Men's Football League have a rich heritage that deserves to be celebrated."
