Grassroots Football Disability Vacancies

WE ARE RECRUITING!

East Riding County FA is recruiting for two roles in grassroots disability football.

We are seeking a Disability Football Ambassador, to support 2 and 3-star England Accredited clubs to apply the learnings from the FA Disability Training for Clubs: Journey to Inclusion training club training, to create and implement their own disability football game plan.

A Disability Football Coach Mentor, to support the development of coaches in grassroots disability football and to support the development of disabled coaches working in grassroots football.

The successful candidate’s will be required to deliver 50 hours for each role over the 2024/25 football season on a Self-Employed Contractor basis, working flexibility across the East Riding County FA.

DESCRIPTION:

DISABILITY FOOTBALL AMBASSADOR ROLE:

The role will engage with selected 2 and 3-star England Accredited clubs following their completion of the FA Disability Training for Clubs: Journey to Inclusion training, to support the creation of a bespoke disability game plan which will outline new club based opportunities for disabled people which may include new playing provision, coaching opportunities and/ or volunteering roles. This will drive engagement at every level of clubs to maximize and sustain these opportunities for disabled people. 

We are looking for someone with experience of developing and delivering disability grassroots football opportunities and engaging with volunteers and external partners. The role holder will be committed to attending FA Disability Football Ambassador training.

DISABILITY FOOTBALL COACH MENTOR ROLE:

The role will engage with coaches in grassroots disability football and disabled coaches working in grassroots football, to ensure growth of club based opportunities for disabled people. This will drive sustainability of club provision for disabled people. 

We are looking for someone with an FA Level 2 qualification, experience of mentoring and understanding of how a grassroots football club operates. The role holder will be committed to the development of excellence and the promotion of lifelong learning.
