How to deliver a coaching session to 7 - 11 year olds
We are delighted to announce that we have once again teamed up with England Football Learning to deliver another in-person workshop for grassroots football coaches in East Riding.
Workshop date: Monday 25th November 2024
Workshop time: 6:30 - 8:30pm
Workshop venue: East Riding FA Roy West Centre, Inglemire Lane, Hull HU6 7TS
Workshop overview:
The workshop aims to equip coaches and educators with the knowledge, skills, resources and inspiration to deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate grassroot coaching sessions.
Who is it for?
Grassroots coaches who are working with players aged 7-11 in a football environment.
What to expect:
Utilising the knowledge and experience of those in the room, the workshop aims to explore some of the key considerations for working with this age group and the importance of understanding the person before the player. Through both theory and practical, coaches will have the opportunity to share good practice and take away some top tips for engaging their players through age-appropriate coaching practice.
Outcomes:
1. Understanding the characteristics and experiences of 7-11 year olds.
2. The use of age- appropriate game/practice design to enhance young player enjoyment and understanding.
3. How to enable your young players to become more skilful in possession and out of possession.
