Teams wanted for disability football festivals

Disability Football Festivals

After a successful round of All Play festivals we are delighted to announce that they are set to return in season 2024 - 25. Set up to give disabled adults the opportunity to play competitive football the festivals have seen teams and players from across the county take to the field.

Last season saw us stage five festivals with 10 teams and over 100 players participating from clubs including Barton Inclusive Football Club - Hull, Bridlington Town, CASE Training, Stockton Hall and Cottingham Rangers.

Teams play in a round robin format on small side pitches.

East Riding FA Participation (Inclusion) Rebecca Bolton said, "Our All Play Festivals provide a safe and inclusive space for disabled people in East Riding to play football. We are delighted that so many people are now involved and its clear to see the benefit that these festivals provide.

"Since their inception we have enjoyed tremendous support from the the local grassroots football community with a special thank you going to Priory FC and in particular club Chairperson Mally Black who successfully staged the final All Play Festival of the season at their fantastic Pride Park facility."

During the course of the season the players, spectators and coaches also made a significant donation to East Riding FA chosen charity Cancer Research UK.

Planning is now underway for this seasons festivals and we are looking for more teams to get involved. If you would like to enter a team or host an All Play Festival then please email rebecca.bolton@eastridingfa.com
