Board Members
John Suddards
East Riding FA Chairperson John Suddard’s long and distinguished career in grassroots football started in 1970 with him playing, coaching, and managing at several of the region’s clubs. He went on to volunteer with the Hull Sunday Men’s League committee in 2000 with him acting as the league Chairperson and Vice Chairperson whilst also serving with the Hull and District Youth League.
John is currently the Chairperson of the Youth League and was elected to the Board of Directors at the East Riding FA in 2005 with him also acting as the Counties representative on the FA Council.
Kerry Johnson
Kerry is the East Riding FA Company Secretary and the Chair of the Disciplinary Working Group.
Her involvement in grassroots football began when she and several other parents formed Costello FC in 2000 with her becoming clubs first secretary. Kerry supported the development of the club with it growing to become one of Hull’s biggest.
Adam Lowthorpe
Adams journey in football has seen him turn out for local sides Hull City AFC and North Ferriby FC with him also taking on several prominent community and professional coaching roles.
He has been with the organisation for over 15 years and has worked in a various football development positions with him currently acting as the Chief Executive of the East Riding FA.
Malcolm Marsden
Malcolm is the East Riding FA Finance Director and is a Chartered Accountant working in private practice. He has over 40 years’ experience of accountancy with his involvement with the East Riding FA starting in the 1990’s as an external auditor.
After the resignation of the previous Finance director Malcolm was invited to join the Board of Directors and is responsible for ensuring the business is in a sound financial position.
Ian Blanchard
Ian's involvement in grassroots football began as a player in a host of local sides before taking up the managerial reigns at Broadgates FC and then Brighton Electricity.
He then took up refereeing 1988 which led to a successful career in the professional game before joining the FA as Head of Senior Referee Development.
Ian is now the East Riding FA’s Senior Independent non-executive director.
Roger Cutsforth
Roger played locally for Sunday League clubs North Ferriby United, Barton Town, Swanfield and Brighams before starting his coaching journey with Walkington Wanderers and Elloughton Blackburn.
Roger currently volunteers with Elloughton Blackburn in the East Riding County League and is Chair of the East Riding FA marketing working group.
Keith Pinder
Before Keith became manager of Greatfield Boys in 1990 he played for several of the regions local teams with him asked to join the Hull & District Youth Sunday Football League Committee in 1997..
Keith was elected to the position of league secretary in 1999, which is a role he still currently holds and in 2017 Keith was elected to the East Riding FA Board of Directors with him serving as the Chair of the Participation working group.
Martin Batstone
David Blain
Dave has been involved in local grassroots football as a player, manager and coach of numerous teams. More recently Dave coached girls teams at Malet Lambert and Hull United, and currently coaches the ladies team for Hessle Rangers.
A paramedic by clinical background, Dave left the NHS in 2021 after 42 years service and is the board Safeguarding Champion.

Sue Altass
Sue has been involved in Grassroots football for over 20 years, starting at South Cave Football club where she volunteered as the clubs Welfare Officer.
Sue also coaches the clubs junior academy sessions whilst also taking on the role of Hull & District Youth League Welfare Officer.

Linda Laird
Linda has been volunteering at Great Driffield AFC since 2008
where she took on the role of treasurer before helping raise funds for the club
through selling refreshments on a match day.
Linda joins us after recently retiring from being a Head Teacher and has taken on the role of Director of Volunteering.
STAFF
Rachel Sullivan
Rachel is the Head of Development and Investment at East Riding FA and is responsible for managing the CFA Development Team including all Pathway staff (Women & Girls’, Male & Mixed.
Rachel also leads on Facility development.

Steve Lazenby
Steve is the Designated Safeguarding Officer at East Riding FA and is responsible for the management of safeguarding and child protection concerns and for the implementation of safeguarding protocols.
Mark Brown
Mark leads on the development, recruitment and training of Match Officials in East Riding.
Rebecca Bolton
Rebecca is a Participation Officer at the East Riding FA and is responsible for supporting and developing the Women & Girls and Disability Football pathways in East Riding.
Chris Johnson
Chris is the Participation and Communications Officer at East Riding FA and is responsible for supporting and developing the male pathway in East Riding. Chris also leads on England Football Accreditation and league support whilst also leading on Marketing and Communication.
Liz Shipp
Liz is the Football Services Officer at East Riding FA and is responsible for supporting and developing Coach Education and County Cups.
Tina Edwards
Tina is the Football Governance Officer at East Riding FA and is responsible for the management of all discipline procedures.
Christine Pybus
Christine is the Finance Administrator at East Riding FA and is responsible for supporting the Finance Director and the business with all financial matters.
